The Company

Representing a global leader, this multinational organisation is a market leader in the engineering and construction space employing over 10,000 employees worldwide. An opportunity has come about to join this group on an initial contract basis with a view for long term potential. This role will be located in the organisations Head Quarters in Sydney and you will be part of a high performing finance function. This role will work closely with the executive leadership team and CFO on all M&A activity and large investment proposals.

The Job

Reporting to the CFO you will be instrumental in preparing all investment proposals for the group and presenting these to relevant steering committees and the executive. You will provide commentary and financial models to support all investments while providing analysis to support market assessments. You will take ownership of the due diligence process for any potential acquisition, ensuring deal structures and legal agreements are commercially viable. You will identify and implement risk mitigation measures for any investments.

Strategically your remit will be to support the executive to develop and implement the overall strategic and operational plan. You will assess current business performance and review existing markets whilst also identifying investment and growth opportunities. You will be the go to person for all members of the executive for any strategic growth or business review projects.

The role is being offered on a long-term contract basis.

Candidate Profile

You are currently a MBA, CA or CPA qualified with experience working with large, multinational, complex organisations. Exposure to the full M&A life cycle and transactional services will be viewed favourably. Due to the nature of this role and it's heavy involvement in business decisions making, having strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence is essential. A notice period can be negotiated.
