Role Overview / Description
Reporting directly to the Commercial Finance Manager, this Senior Commercial Analyst will have a gamut of responsibilities and would be considered a strategic business partner with coverage across 2 major brand categories. You will effectively have co-responsibility for delivering profitability targets across all the brand P&Ls and set and drive commercial decision making and strategy with your business partners. Your day to day responsibility will be to identify risks and opportunities within you P&Ls and coach and influence the business to achieve optimal commercial outcomes. As the Senior Commercial Analyst you will be hands on with generating business cases and carrying out profitability analysis on promotional campaigns. Your role will extend to providing business insights through industry research and deep dive into competitor strategies. In addition, the Senior Commercial Analyst will carry out pricing analysis to support commercial negotiations such as tender reviews and customer agreements.

This is a true influencing and partnering role and would ideally suit an ambitious and high performing Commercial Analyst ready to be groomed into a Senior Analyst / Commercial Manager role.

The Job/ Duties / Responsibilities
* Assisting with Strategic Planning: Facilitating cross-functional sessions in leading the NPD process
* Preparation of budgets including leading tactical reviews with Category and Sales teams
* Monthly forecasting including risk and opportunity analysis
* Managing financial performance through customer and product level profitability analysis
* Preparing pricing tenders
* Assisting with the S&OP process

Candidate Profile
You are currently CA or CPA qualified with significant experience in a true Commercial Business Partnering role within the FMCG environment. Technically, your skills are strong and you wish to expand them into the field of business project management and commercial decision support. Your verbal and written communication skills are one of your strengths and you feel confident leading business from a strategic management perspective.
