Role Overview
As the Payroll officer you will sit in a team of 4 payroll professionals and report directly to the Accounting Manager. You will be responsible for administering the weekly and monthly payrolls across the business. In your role you will also liaise with external and internal stakeholders to coordinate and manage the process to ensure payroll is ran in a timely and accurate manner.

In addition, you will be responsible for maintaining employee records, payments administration as well as assisting with compliance. This role will give you the opportunity to be mentored and supported to ultimately grow as a payroll professional. Experience with Chris 21 is desirable but not a deal breaker.

As the Payroll Officer you will be responsible for the following:

  • Administer weekly and monthly payrolls; review payroll, distribute payslips and reports
  • Import and review data
  • Maintain employee records
  • Administer new employees
  • Update employee record changes
  • Handle terminated employees
  • Assist Payroll manager to administer superannuation and PAYG

Candidate Profile
You are currently a passionate payroll administrator looking to embark on your next journey that will allow you to use your skills in an environment where you will flourish. You possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and love to work in a team environment to achieve objectives. The successful candidate will have basic awareness of the interaction between general ledger and payroll and thus will be able to utilise their understanding to enhance the payroll function.
