Role Overview
Reporting directly to the Payroll Manager, this Payroll Officer will be responsible for all facets of a full function payroll. This encompasses day-to-day, fortnightly and monthly payroll processing for an employee base consisting of thousands nationwide. On a monthly basis, you will maintain employee records, including annual leave, sick leave and long service leave. On a weekly basis, this Payroll Officer will investigate back pays and employment related taxes in accordance with payroll legislation. You will accurately complete and distribute all reports and statistics within designated deadlines on a daily basis. The Job

  • This Payroll Officer will be responsible for all facets of the payroll function including:
  • Fortnightly and monthly payroll processing for large employee base
  • Acting as a resource on payroll related issues within the business
  • Keeping up to date on changes to relevant legislation
  • Maintaining employee files and records
  • Calculating salary/wages, payroll tax, leave entitlements, termination payments

Candidate Profile
To be successful in this role you will have the capacity to work within tight deadlines and manage all payroll tasks end to end. You possess a high level of accuracy in input and transaction processing. You are a strong communicator and can work both independently and as part of a team.
