Reporting to the Financial Controller, this Payroll and Payables Officer will be responsible for the full function of accounts payable and payroll. You will be entirley responsible for the processing of the company payroll; waged, contractor and salary staff. You will be responsible for maintaining payroll for new and existing employees, managing workers' compensation, EBAs and updating the payroll system. You will also be responsible for setting up new starters, calculating terminations, processing resignations and redundancies.
Regarding accounts payable, you will be accountable for the full accounts payable function, this includes processing supplier invoices, creation of RCTI's, payment runs and resolving creditor enquiries. You will be responsible for reconciliation of statements, and matching, batching and coding.
To be successful for this role, you will have the drive and determination to provide results and be a good team player. Your communication will be a core factor of this role as you will be engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.
In order to be successful in this role, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Processing weekly payroll for new and existing employees; experience in a timesheets environment
- Processing payroll for terminations, redundancies, and resignations alliging to the month end payroll accounting and tax compliance
- Processing supplier invoices; RCTI's
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
- Reconciliation of statements
- Processing payment runs
- Answering and resolving enquiries in a timely manner
You are a Payroll and Payables Officer with extensive experience in the end to end accounts payable and payroll functions. You have completed a tertiary qualification in accounting. You have used MYOB and are intermediate in Excel. With your solid communication skills, you will be building relationships with internal and external key stakeholders.
