Representing a global leader, this multinational organisation is a market leader in the resources sector employing over 10,000 employees worldwide. An opportunity has come about to join this group in a critical position that will drive the pricing strategy across the group. This role will be located in the organisations Head Quarters in Sydney and you will be part of a high performing executive team. This role will work closely with the board and executive leadership team to drive and implement strategies for growth and improved performance.
Working closely with the senior executive team you will be instrumental in leading the pricing committee on all pricing strategies. You will be responsible for setting plans, reviewing performance vs the plan and consulting with each BU to ensure the group is on target. You will challenge current pricing strategies and look to improve on existing structures. You will drive consistency across all BUs nationally by implementing group wide pricing policies that are in alignment with the global strategy. Finally, you will work with the business to develop margin performance reports that provide visibility in performance.
You will work collaboratively with each BU to identify the most effective price growth strategy and guide them on the most appropriate implementation method. You will ensure the company continues to operate in a competitive way by providing benchmarking data both on a national and global scale. Finally, you will lead appropriate training and development initiatives to ensure relevant employees have the appropriate skills to achieve the pricing targets.
You are currently a business qualified senior pricing professional with experience working with large, multinational, complex organisations.
You will be a true business partner that can collaborate with BU heads on their pricing strategies down to a granular level. At the same time, you have a high-level strategic view for the national pricing strategy. You will have the confidence to lead a pricing committee that comprises of the CEO, CFO and multiple GMs and not be afraid to challenge these stakeholders on current practice and future plans. You will be able to translate large amounts of data into clear and concise reports that all levels of management can utilise.
