Role Overview / Description
Reporting to an experienced and elite CEO, this Head of Finance will support the delivery of major finance objectives as the organisation aims to scale partner. On a day to day basis this Head of Finance will be responsible for driving Accounting policies and procedures across all facets including month end, AP, AR as well as operational accounting for all product lines. As the Head of Finance you will have end to end responsibility for coordinating and reviewing month end close and the completion and submission of all indirect tax returns. From a commercial perspective you will liaise with various business unit managers across all states in compiling the monthly management packs including detailed commentaries for the CFO. It will be your role as the Head of Finance to build business partnering relationships with senior management and the executive team to help them create value. Because of this, the successful Head of Finance will have to have exceptional rapport building skills and display the ability to internally influence management decision making with their analytical capabilities.
This role not only requires an excellent technical and analytical mind but also someone that has the ability to think outside of the box and not be afraid to challenge the status quo.
The Job/ Duties / Responsibilities
* Review and deliver accurate and timely monthly results
* Providing proactive, insightful and relevant financial analysis support to the business
* Maintaining an effective financial control environment
* Ensuring a 'clean' balance sheet that is both reconciled and reviewed on a regular basis
* Managing the interim & annual audit
* Ensuring tax compliance
* Lead the annual budgeting and regular forecasting process
* Leading value adding finance projects
You are a CA or CPA qualified with leadership experience of a small or medium sized finance team. You have previously worked in large corporate businesses and are now looking to fast track your growth towards a CFO role by proving yourself in a broad role in a fast growing organisation. Your technical accounting reporting skills are outstanding (preferably trained from a Big 4 accounting firm) and you feel confident with liaising with all levels of management. You are currently looking to enter an organisation that can offer you and opportunity to take your career to the next level.
