Salary: $160,000 - $190,000 Package + Bonus

The Company

Representing a global leader, this multinational organisation is a market leader in the engineering and construction space employing over 10,000 employees worldwide. An opportunity has become available for a strong Divisional Commercial Manager to partner with the GM and drive performance within this business unit. This role will be located in the organisations Head Quarters in Sydney and you will be part of medium size commercial finance team supporting both sales and operations. This is a true management reporting and analysis focused role which will work closely with the CFO, and will be responsible for ensuring the business receives a clear and transparent view of the business performance.


The Job

Reporting to the CFO and FP&A Manager you will be instrumental in leading, defining, managing and developing the financial planning, reporting, analysis and budgeting processes of the business unit. You will be responsible for the production of financial and operational results as well as analysis. You will drive business performance and deliver insightful business intelligence to business managers, general managers and the CFO. You will ensure timely delivery of the rolling forecast and mid-term plan. On a monthly basis you will prepare and present the management reporting pack to local and global leadership team. Furthermore, you will be responsible for supporting senior management as well as operational leaders with performance reporting and ad-hoc analysis to support decision-making. This role will also require your involvement in process implementation and improvement, namely in establishing KPI reporting, as well as reviewing methodology for management reporting and aligning this with the business operations. A large part of this role will be to drive the end-to-end budgeting and forecasting process across the business unit, which will involve liaising with cross-functional finance and non-finance teams.


In addition a large portion of the role will be around business partnering with various stakeholders, namely operations to assist in the analysis of key information regarding day-to-day activities.

Candidate Profile

You are currently a CA or CPA qualified Commercial Manager or FP&A Manager with extensive Commercial experience in a large blue chip organisation. You have extensive management reporting experience and excellent analytical and problem solving skills and are a strong driver for positive change. Your personality is energetic and strong. You enjoy leadership and will have a hunger to drive a high performing commercial team. Due to the nature of this role and it's heavy involvement in business decisions making, having strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence is essential. Experience with large ERP's such as SAP or Oracle would be advantageous.
