This Accounts Receivable Specialist will be reporting to the General Manager and be part of an intimate and high performing team. You will be responsible for end -to-end accounts receivable with a medium sized ledger. The successful Accounts Receivable Specialist will be accountable for the maintenance and success of the accounts receivable function. While upholding strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
On a daily basis, this Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for all operations encompassing invoicing, collections, deductions management, reporting on a designated portfolio of accounts as well as any other accounts receivable related tasks.
The key to succeed in this Accounts Receivable role is to be a great communicator and effectively handle difficult situation with a positive 'can do 'attitude.
To be successful for this role, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Creation of RCTI's (Recipient created tax invoice) - high volume
- Identify, investigate and recommend action concerning overdue accounts
- Collect and secure payment arrangements with customers
- Month end reporting and reconciliation of customer accounts
- Review and resolve issues related to customer deductions by working with customers (internal / external), account managers, warehouses and inventory analysts
- Manage credit hold and release orders in accordance with company guidelines
- Provide customers invoices, statements and other information relating to ensuring prompt payment
You are an experienced and energetic Accounts Receivable Specialist with a passion for adding value to an organisation. Your verbal and written communication skills are one of your strengths and you feel confident liaising with both internal and external stakeholders. You will have in-depth experience with SAP as well as intermediate knowledge in excel. You will also have extensive experience large RCTIs. Ideally you have worked as an Accounts Receivable Officer within a retail or inventory based environment. Most importantly you have a 'can-do' attitude and are ready to own and be accountable for your own ledger.
