As the Accounts Receivable Officer you will report directly to the Credit Supervisor and be responsible for the end to end management of a large ledger. Your ledger will include small "mum and dad" business accounts as well as large blue chip organisations. On a day to day basis, you will be responsible for looking after key accounts and ensuring collections and disputes are managed in a timely manner. This will be achieved through a proactive approach in maintaining high call volumes. To be successful in this role, you will have a hunger for collections and have a firm yet dignified manner, as well as focus on customer service and query resolution. This role will suit an experienced candidate who thrives on working within a corporate and professional team based environment.
Understanding the operations of the business is important to the success of the Accounts Receivable Officer as they will be liaising daily with internal and external stakeholders of the business. Diplomacy and an attitude of rigour is what this credit team requires.
To be successful for this role, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Ensuring the allocation of payments are made on time
- Processing new accounts and maintaining a customer database
- Administration and Reconciliation of accounts
- Investigating ongoing claims and invoices
- Building solid relationships with customers and key stakeholders
- Maintaining confidentiality of company information
You are a mature-minded individual with extensive experience in full function Credit Control/AR preferably have previously worked within an FMCG or Services business with exposure to retail customers. You have prior experience in a medium to large organisation and you have excellent communication and negotiation skills and possess a driven "hunter" mentality. You will have strong experience managing your own ledger and have notable achievements in exceeding credit KPI's and DSO reductions. You will also be proficient with MS Excel.
