Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, this Accounts Payable Team leader will be responsible for the leadership, management and development of their Accounts Payable team, a team of 6.
Working closely with the AP Manager, this AP Team Leader will be responsible for the accurate, timely and efficient management of the National Accounts Payable function as well as providing strong leadership and support to the 6 Accounts Payable staff.
Your day to day responsibilities will include operational management of the accounts payable division, and expand to the day to day operational management that includes processing of invoices; matching, batching and uploading of invoices as a result you'll be expected to have excellent data entry speed and accuracy. You will liaise with suppliers, and manage their reconciliations while maintaining the highest level of customer service. Furthermore, you will be responsible for the generating of supplier documentation and payment terms. You will work closely with the business and in building and maintaining a "Centre of Excellence" for the Accounts Payable function.
In addition to the operational and project focused requirements this role places a large focus on ensuring and promoting leadership and development as well as mentoring.
You are currently an Accounts Payable Team Leader within a medium to large multinational or listed environment and are currently managing a team of transactional staff. You thrive on working in a friendly environment. A real emphasis on customer service and business partnering will be critical to your success. Verbal and written communication skills are one of your strengths and you are known to have a strong drive for success.
