As an Accounts Payable Supervisor you will be directly reporting to the Chief Financial Officer as part of a team to deliver upon targets. You will be responsible for the full function Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable duties and coordinate effective solutions accordingly. Your role is focused on engaging with process improvements in terms of effectively managing DSOs. This Accounts Payable Supervisor will also be responsible for processing payments and accounts in a timely manner. It is also your responsibility to ensure all completed tasks are aligned with company credit policies compliance schemes. You will be given the opportunity to manage a small team and effectively develop solutions accordingly. You are also required to initiate system improvements within the organisation and be able to communicate ideas clearly. As an Accounts Payable Supervisor, you will be engaging with reviewing processes and identifying and discrepancies. This role also focuses on your ability to accurately process payments and debt collections.
The successful candidate demonstrates excellent communication skills in terms of openly communicating ideas of process improvements. The role is focused on integrating effective solutions and implementing change. Hence, the successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to manage a team and be able to recognise efficient solutions to problems.
In order to be successful for this role you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Liaise with internal stakeholders towards the implementation of process improvements
- Responsible for managing accounts such as debt collections, cash allocations and processing invoices in a timely manner.
- Leading a small team towards meeting company targets
- Responsible for managing of end to end Accounts receivable and Payables functions
- Overseeing the management of stocktake and processing invoices efficiently
- Handling and critically analysing a debtors accounts and discrepancies for outstanding invoices
- Managing system issues promptly aligned with company standards and policies
- Integrate renewed processes as part of process improvements to reach efficiency
You are an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor that has demonstrated a minimum 2- 3 years' experience in overseeing a small team. Specifically, you will have shown the ability to manage a team in terms of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable responsibilities. You will have come from a background in full function Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. This Accounts Payable Supervisor has strong problem solving skills and an attention to detail in terms of compliance with company policies and standards. A successful candidate has an eye for process improvements and effectively implementing change. One of your strong strengths is able to communicate your ideas effectively and be able to collaboratively work as part of a team. You must have strong computer skills, specifically with the use of Microsoft (PC based) software and database systems. A successful candidate will have strong influencing and leadership skills who will succeed in an organisation focused on process improvement.
