Reporting to the Director of Finance, this Accounts Payable Manager is a national level role and will be responsible for the leadership, management and development of the Accounts Payable team and would be a key contributor to the executive finance committee.
Working closely with the Finance Director, this Accounts Payable Manager will be responsible for the accurate, timely and efficient management of the National Accounts Payable function as well as providing strong leadership and support to the 3 Accounts Payable Supervisors who in turn manage 3 large teams. Your day to day responsibilities will expand past the day to day operational management to executive level reporting, cash flow forecasting, maintaining and driving new policy initiatives and resolving issues related to key accounts. As an Accounts Payable Manager you will work closely with the business and in building and maintaining a "Centre of Excellence" for the Accounts Payable function. Your responsibility will extend to playing a key role in a national finance transformation project which includes implementation of a new expense management system.
This Accounts Payable Manager will meet with the executive finance committee including the CFO to review and prioritise the division's deliverables. Given a strong focus on business and process improvement this role will provide the candidate with excellent exposure to executives across all facets of the business.
In addition to the operational and project focused requirements this role places a large focus on ensuring and promoting leadership and development as well as mentoring.
You are currently an Accounts Payable Manager within a large multinational or listed environment and are currently managing a medium to large size team. You are Degree qualified and overall you have extensive management, experience and thrive on working in a friendly environment. A real emphasis on customer and business partnering will be critical to your success and you have a proven background of successful project management and process reengineering. Verbal and written communication skills are one of your strengths and you are known to have a strong drive for success.
