This is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring Assistant Accountant or Financial Accountant to join a leading and reputable Australian organisation.
This Reconciliations Accountant will take full control of co-ordinating and managing the reconciliations function. You will be accountable for the reconciliations of all intercompany and general accounts. You will possess strong automation skills to ensure process improvements where possible. Building and maintaining relationships with key internal stakeholders is essential to continued success in the role and strong communication skills will be one of your strengths.
Reporting to the CFO this Reconciliations Accountant will have full responsibility and accountability for the delivery of over 70x account reconciliation tasks per month. This Reconciliations Accountant plays a key role in the business to deliver on month end and the successful delivery accurate and up to date account ledgers.
The responsibilities will include and are not limited to;
- Systems reconciliations ensuring all transactions are correctly posted.
- Work with large data sets to identify reconciliation exceptions
- Proactively manage exceptions in reporting processes and advise stakeholders of impacts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation.
- Manage and maintain all intercompany accounts across 5x entities using your reconciliation skill set.
- Manage and reconcile all vendor accounts to ensure accurate and timely updated statements.
As a Reconciliations Accountant you will come from a high passed environment where you are currently completing a significant amount of reconciliations across intercompany and general accounts.
You will have a minimum of 5 years' experience as either an Assistant Accountant or Financial Accountant and have the ability and desire to manage reconciliations in a high volume environment.
Previous experience in dealing with a large business requiring high volume reconciliations, especially with intercompany accounts, is a must. You will have excellent communication skills and an ability to communicate in a professional manner, with demonstrated negotiation skills and possess a high degree of initiative.
The successful candidate will also be an outcome focused individual who works well in a fast paced and autonomous environment, and has a desire to learn. You will need experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX or a similar large ERP system.
Due to the reconciliations focus in this role you must be able to demonstrate solid excel experience utilising V-lookups and pivot tables and can manipulate data and navigate excel extremely well.
