Reporting directly to the Accounts Payable Manager this Accounts Payable Officer will be responsible for high volume end-to-end accounts payable. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include processing and matching invoices to purchase orders proficiently. You will communicate effectively to ensure management, business unit and supplier enquiries are resolved in a timely manner. In addition to this you will carry out creditor account reconciliations and take ownership to ensure compliance with legislation and internal policies.
This role will be fast paced so it will suit an energetic Accounts Payable Officer with a particular eye for detail. Your attentive manner will shine as you assist with preparations for weekly cash flow forecasts and monthly management reports. - Process invoices and match to purchase orders
- Carry out reconciliations for both creditor accounts and payment to supplier statements
- Comply with legislation and internal policies
- Prepare and run cheque and EFT payments
- Setup new vendors and amend changes as requested
- Prepare correct and accurate creditor payment runs
- Assist with ad/hoc reporting and queries
You will be an experienced Accounts Payable Officer with a desire and ability to process information in a high volume environment. You will have previous experience using excel and an ERP system with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with both suppliers and within your team. You will possess a positive and investigative attitude that will constantly look for ways of improving and implementing processes. The successful candidate will also be an engaging team player with a conscientious attention to detail.
